Long narrow scarves and scarflettes that are perfect for tying around the neck are all the rage right now, and the Ashlar scarf from Catherine Bayer Saltar fills all boxes. Designed for Urth Yarns for their luscious Harvest DK, this versatile scarf uses simple garter and rib stitches alternating, and this textured, quick knit scarf looks far more complex than it is. Includes both charted and written instructions. Ashlar starts at a narrow end, working garter stitch rows until the hurdle rib begins. I-cord edges trim both sides, and shaping is created by increases worked on RS rows along the right side of the work. At 44 stitches, the stitch count remains constant for 4 repeats in the middle, then reverses with decreases on RS rows along the right side back to 6 sts.
